Maria Gutenberg  fitness for life 2016        Why do we sleep?      1) The habits that I have to impede a good night are not many. I have insomnia that strikes  me at night. To get a good night sleep I am always in bed by 10 pm at the latest. If not  for rare occasions. I do not sleep with any light that I can see turned on. I do not have  the tv on, and my apartment is set at a comfortable sixtyfour degree to make it  comfortable for me.   2) Habits I could implement into my nightly routine to get a better night sleep would be to go  to bed at roughly at the same time every night. By doing so my body, and my mind will  learn when it is time for sleep, along with getting up at the same time every morning. I  could also make sure that My bed is to become a place for sleep only. Not eating, or  drinking, or homework. Just sleeping. Lastly I would also make sure to use the bathroom  and drink more water before I go to bed at night. before I get into bed. Then I will have  an empty bladder, and a hydrated system.   3) The bad habits that I have while in bed that I realized are my phone. That would be the  biggest one. I am always on my phone waiting to get sleepy and pass out. It is so  unhealthy for me. Also I let my cats wander around me all night long. Sometimes  wanting to cuddle, others just want to bother me. It often keeps me awake for up to thirty  minutes though. I know that can’t be good, but being that I live in a studio apartment I  can't really just trap them in my bathroom all night so I can get a better night's sleep.  Lastly I get in and out of bed a lot at night time. I can’t stay still very long. At least not  until I fall asleep.
