StudySoup Webinar Notes  ● Why: classes are long and boring, textbooks are expensive ○ Help others succeed ● Needing to reread notes more, so studying while you’re  working and helping others and making money (GPA increased) ● $300­$500 or more made per class ● Fast­growing field “Uber” of note taking ○ Noted by Forbes and Wired Magazine ● Elite Notetaker to Campus Mentor to Regional Lead ($20 an  hour, letters from CEO, can win certain things) ○ Grad Schools/Internships recognize the job titles  with #s and statistics to reference in resumes/interviews ● HOW IT WORKS ○ Pick 1­3 (max 3) to take notes for ○ Upload notes ○ Base pay then commision on materials ○ Tip: choose classes with 50 or more people so  there is a bigger chance to have buyers ○ Lecture/Note based classes ● POSITION REQUIREMENTS ○ Upload notes on a WEEKLY basis (once a week  per class) to build a reputation ○ Notes should be uploaded 70% of the semester  weeks (ballpark) ○ Notes can be handwritten or typed ○ Detailed study guide posted at least 4 days  before exam ○ Share link to notes/study guides to classmates so they know when you’re uploading ■ Share for first upload then every  study guide after that ■ Study guides are HUGE sellers ○ DO NOT PLAGIARIZE NOTES. ● Lecture/note based classes that are big pay the most ● Extra hours? Counts as studying anyway, the study guides  are what takes the longest ● TIP: use social media, emails, flyers to get the word out to  the people in your classes ● HOW PAY WORKS (multiple ○ First upload is FREE to gain interest (promo for  class) ■ MAKE IT GREAT ○ Midterm $25 base pay (not including commision,  fufiilling requirements) x2 ○ Final Exam $25 base pay ○ End of Semester $100 bonus ○ $4 per notes, $8 per study guide ■ You get the full amount of money,  study soup won’t take away that money bc members  pay subscriptions ○ ○ ○ ○ Paid by PayPal or Direct Deposit ● People need to make an account and subscribe to buy notes ●
