Concept & Literacy: Week 1 General Overview of the fall 2016 class Writing Papers about guest artist speakers The papers will be about to aspects which are: - Artist Statements o The artist statement will need to come from the soul. Such as why do you want to become and artist, and so on. - Life Statement Adventures/ Field Trips - To personal studio to understand what it is like to have your own studio, and discuss art - There will also be various other field trip locations, but they will come with due time Attendance - Please be in class at 8am, and if you are going to be a few minutes late then please use rear entrance Public Speaking - Please be comfortable with speaking out loud in class, and being able to help chime in on discussions - IF you are not comfortable with speaking publicly, then please talk to me directly either after class or within my office Future Discussions to keep in mind Portfolio Workshop - There will be a general email going out about Fall Portfolio Workshop, and please attend it! - There will be meaningful information about the overall portfolio process, and extra details. Senior Thesis - We will go over a variety of topics that will help you understand Senior Thesis more, which will be more discussed later on Next Week Lectures, Syllabus/ Schedule of Field Trips and Guest Speakers
