Comparing Two Climates Quentin PeyrouLauga Mp2a Mr.Destombes Introduction What are my two chosen places? For this report I have chosen to compare Toulouse(France) with Reykjavik (Iceland). Under is a map of Europe showing where my two chosen cities are the two circled places  are my chosen cities. Body Of Work Description of the two climates How is the climate in those places: Reykjavik climate  table Let’s look at the daily mean temperature here is the row from the daily mean temperature: What can we tell about the daily mean in Reykjavik, how is the climate after looking at the  temperature? Here looking at the daily temperature, I can say that after a first look, the temperature from  June to August is the warmest of the year meaning it is Summer and the coldest  temperature between November to January must then be winter. This is some good news for comparison as both my chosen cities have Winter and Summer at the same period of time  so this is going to be easier to compare as for example winter and winter will be compared  and not for example when comparing to another city far away in which summer there is  winter here. When looking into more details, I can say that the warmest daily mean  temperature is: 10.6*C, when you realise that this temperature is the warmest, you realise it  is cold compared to Toulouse, Now, let's take a look a look at Toulouse´s Climate table: Now this, is a more familiar climate after a short first look than the climate in Reykjavik. To  have a good comparison of average temperature, let’s ignore all the rows except the daily  mean temperature. As a conclusion to the description section, I can say that after looking at the map of the  climates around the world in my geography book, Toulouse is situated in a temperate area  while Reykjavik is sitting in the border between Tundra and polar area. Comparing and contrasting When putting the other row for Reykjavik, right next to the row beneath we get this result  perfect to compare. Every single average monthly temperature in Toulouse has a higher degree towards  Reykjavik. Conclusion Affection behind the climates: After what my teacher has very clearly taught us, the closer a place is to the Equator, the  warmer it gets due to the the sun’s rays that are more concentrated, and the exact opposite  happens getting farther, this is the case the difference of the climates in both places.
