Hypnosis Not magic no embarrassment no anxiety Induction Pay attention to breathing 3 seconds inhale 3 sec exhale Let go of thoughts images feelings Focus Pay attention to your breathing and listen to what I say 1 Eye closure Hands on lap palms down Pick a spot on either hand and concentrate on it Your eyelids are becoming heavy They are tired heavier Beginning to touch Now closing Now shut 2 Head fall Eyes shut but still focusing on breathing and the spot on your hand Feel the heaviness of your head How comfortable it would be to lower your head Slowly relax your neck Allow your head to fall gently forward 3 Head raise Quietly raise your left hand and gently touch your chin Your head will begin to rise After your head has oated back to an upright position lower your hand to lap 4 Hand stretching Sense both your hands and arms As you feel them there is a sense that they want to be stretched out Go ahead and stretch both hands out in front of you 5 Hand attraction Hold your hands out in front of you about 6 inches apart with palms inward facing each other Feel a gentle column of air in between your palms Feel a gentle force pulling your hands together like gravity The force pulling your hands together is getting stronger Allow your hands to move with the force 6 Finger lock Let your outstretched hands clasp and interlock your fingers Your fingers are now stuck together They are so solidly stuck together that when you are asked to try separating your hands it will not be possible Now try Now relax your hands and ngers Lower your hands gently on your lap 7 Arms raised with bottle Hands apart and relaxed eyes closed Listen to the sounds Imagine I have a bottle in my hand I am going to uncork it When you hear me uncork it your hands will rise up quickly to shoulder level Sound of Uncorking Bottle 8 Odor perception Raise hands up to shoulder level Listen to the swishing of uid in the bottle You can smell the fragrance from the contents of the bottle It s subtle but you can smell it as you whiff the air Remember the smell The first time you hear the number Zero later on you will name the odor aloud 9 Arm lowering Notice a difference in the way each of your hands feel One hand is becoming heavier than the other A lot heavier than the other How good it would be to rest that heavy hand Go ahead Now rest both hands 10 Awakening In a few moments I am going to count backwards from 5 to Zero With each count you become more and more awake eyes opening gradually When we reach zero you will be fully awake With a sense of energy and vitality and a renewed sense of joy 54 3 2 l0
