Between Pure and Simple ALOHA which has less of a delay Pure ALOHA is a simple system It allows transmission to start immediately With it some collisions will happen and the colliding frames will be damaged but at low load no collisions are projected This allows the transmission be sent successfully Slotted ALOHA has to wait for the next slot which presents half a slot time of delay In the binary countdown protocol explain how a lowernumbered station may be starved from sending a packet In a situation where a highernumbered station and a lowernumbered station have to send packets simultaneously the highernumbered station will always come out on top Because of this a lowernumbered station will be starved from sending its packets if there are highernumbered stations sending packets at the same time and especially If there are multiple highernumbered packets
