Math 211 Exam II Review Exam II will be on Thursday March 19 and it will cover sections 143152 and the beginning of 153 from the textbook These are some of the things I expect you to be able to do on the exam 1 Compute things partial derivatives tangent planes gradients directional derivatives derivatives of different kinds of composite functions implicit derivatives maximums and minimums local global and with constraints double integrals over general regions average values triple integrals over rectangular solids 2 Understand the geometric interpretations of gradients directional derivatives and double integrals The best way to study for the exam is to do as many problems as you can stand Redo the quizzes the homework problems and other recommended problems On Wednesday before the exam class will be devoted to answering questions So if you have questions bring them to class on Wednesday You will not need to simplify your answers But you will need to show all of your work you will not receive credit if you do not show your work
