Mobile Advertising after Old School Advertisement Businesses started to go for advertising methods that will cost them less, but will yield higher conversion rates. With this in mind, mobile advertising is slowly taking over the advertising and marketing industries as it is cheap yet effective way to promote one’s business. There is a significant growth in mobile advertising in the recent years as the method takes center stage due to its popularity among business owners, especially those small or start-up companies. One of the major driving forces of this particular type of advertising is the fact that a lot of people use mobile devices. A lot of people use their smartphones and tablets, not only for communication, but also for checking the Internet, emails and social media accounts. Thus, users will most likely see the ad than TV and radio ads flashed at a particular time slot. Although mobile advertising is in the midst of old school advertisements, analysts think that primitive ways of advertising will take a backseat as the use mobile ads will continue to rise. The advent of smartphones, apps and other revolutionary capabilities of the today’s mobile devices helped with the unprecedented growth of mobile advertising. 3. In-app advertising and voucher advertising Another great characteristic of mobile marketing is it can be paired with other forms of advertising like in-app and voucher advertising. Based on the recent statistics, people spend 80 percent of their time using different apps in their mobile devices. This means that a merchant can mix up two or more methods in order to reach and attract more potential clients. 4. Mobile advertising isefficient and user-friendly Advertising using mobile devices is efficient and user-friendly, which is another advantage of the advertising method. Anyone can easily do this type of advertising as business owners can send messages to consumers. More complicated forms of mobile advertising involve services from companies like networks or advertising agencies, but are always readily available. 5. Low cost than other forms of advertising Business owners like mobile advertising because it is way cheaper than other forms of advertising like placing ads in TV and radio. According to sources, it costs $2.85 to reach 1,000 iPhone users through a mobile ad. Meanwhile, a newspaper ad can cost more than $100 and it can reach 1,000 readers only. 6. Delivers pertinent results Mobile advertising deliver results like no other advertising method can. It is of vital importance that business owners should know the needs of their target market. If you are a local business aiming for clients in your area, geo-targeting is a characteristic of mobile advertising that allows ads to be tailored to a specific market based on the geographic location of the consumers. Through this method, merchants can appeal on their potential clients. As expected, mobile advertising will continue to grow as it will cater to the needs of businesses as its cheap yet effective characteristics are advantageous to merchants.
