Winter Skin Care Regimen You need to adapt your beauty regimen to different seasons. Read this article to find out how you can keep your skin healthy in the winter. You need a good moisturizer to keep your skin healthy throughout the winter. The cold air will dry your skin right away if you do not apply a moisturizer every morning. Try different products and do not hesitate to use different items for your face, hands and the rest of your body. Cover your skin when you go out with a scarf or a hat and apply more moisturizer when you come home. If your skin is still dry, try using a different moisturizer. Sunscreen should not be used in the summertime only. If you live in an area with snow, the sunlight will be reflected on the snow. Your skin and your eyes should be properly protected. Choose a quality sunscreen; ask your dermatologist if you are not sure which brand you should buy. Test different products yourself and adapt the strength and the amount of sunscreen you use to your natural skin shade. Protect your skin from the sun by wearing a scarf, a hat and sunglasses, especially if you are going skiing. Gloves are the best way to protect your hands. Select a quality pair of gloves and apply lotion or moisturizer on your hands before you put your gloves on. Look for a synthetic fabric; wool will let a lot of cold air in. Choose a pair of gloves you like and get several pairs if you need to mix and match your gloves with your outfits. The important thing is that you do not leave your home without a good pair of gloves on. Humidity will make your skin dry. You need to keep your gloves, socks and other articles of clothing as dry as possible; it is also important to dry your skin and hair right away if they get wet. Make sure you dry your hands thoroughly after washing them, especially if you are going outside. Invest in a good blow-dryer to dry your hair, gloves or socks. You should also get a few extra pairs of socks and gloves so you can replace your wet items of clothing if you need to. Make sure your home is not too dry. If necessary, use a humidifier to create a healthy environment. A lot of homes will get very dry during the winter because the heat is turned on most of the time. If you keep applying moisturizer on your skin and are wearing gloves, but still have a very dry skin, you need to make changes to your environment. Humidifiers are not very expensive and will make a huge difference for your skin and health. Make sure you keep your humidifier clean and use it only when necessary. Use these tips to keep your skin well hydrated during the winter. You might have to try different techniques or products until you find a skin care regimen that works for you.
