A Few Skin Care Tips Do you have a good skin care regimen? Go over this article to learn a few tips and get the healthy complexion you always wanted. Exposing your skin to the sun will give it a nice glow and a lovely darker shade, but you should know that the sun can dry out your skin and increase your risks of developing skin cancer. This is why you need to apply a sunscreen on your face before going out, especially in the summer or if the ground is covered in snow. If you want to get a tan, apply a thin layer of sunscreen on your body and expose your skin to the sun for a few minutes only. Avoid exposing your skin for hours at a time or going to a tanning booth. A lot of products can make your skin dry, including acne creams, makeup or anything that does not contain a certain dose of moisturizer in it. You should avoid using any product other than sunscreen and moisturizer on your skin. Dry your skin thoroughly by patting it instead of rubbing it and dry your hair right after you wash it. Wet skin will quickly become dry, especially in the winter. Apply a moisturizer every morning and every night to keep your skin hydrated and healthy. Do not hesitate to use different moisturizers for your face, hands and feet. A healthy diet will improve your complexion. Stay away from fast food, processed food, soda, sugar, caffeine, sodium and fried foods. Instead, start eating more fruits and vegetables and take a multivitamin supplement. Drink a lot of water to keep your entire body hydrated. If you can adopt this healthy diet, your complexion should look much healthier within only two weeks. These changes can be hard, but if you focus on abandoning one bad habit at a time you should be able to change your diet. If you are a smoker, get rid of this bad habit. Smoking will make your skin very dry and cause wrinkles to appear at an early age. The toxins can clog your pores and lead to acne breakouts. Quitting smoking is hard, but it is worth the efforts. After you stop smoking, you should notice your complexion has a healthy glow and your pores are much cleaner. Avoid exposure to second hand smoke or ashes; they will dry your skin too. Drinking alcohol means a lot of toxins are present in your body. These toxins will clog your pores and make your skin oily. Avoid drinking and start exercising on a regular basis to eliminate these toxins. You can also get rid of toxins by going to a steam room and sweating for half an hour. You should also stay away from caffeine and polluted environments to reduce the amount of toxins present in your body. If you can afford to, switch to organic foods or move to the countryside. Use these tips to develop a good skin care regimen. You can easily get a healthier complexion by avoiding a few elements and using a moisturizer daily. For more information click here
