It's a nice university especially to be in Downtown Detroit. Try to avoid commuting, if possible. If you must commute, go greek or join an organization with A LOT of pull on campus (major organizations are usually a good bet). The campus is one of the safest in the country and the diversity is unparalleled in the state. School lacks divertisty among African Americans. There is a need to increase the diversity rate. ...Continue reading

It's overall pretty good. The academics are rigorous but fair, and the campus is really pretty and blends right in to Detroit. Safety has never been an issue for me, as long as you use your common sense nothing of yours will get stolen. The dorm food is alright, nothing too fancy but definitely better than most say. Plenty of dining on campus. ...Continue reading

As an older adult attending school, a lot of the activities and clubs are geared towards the younger generation (that's okay) for me. There is a need to increase the diversity rate. ...Continue reading

I mean everyone criticizes their school, but you learn to love it and the people in it. If you like being in the busy city and you love the fast paced action and seeing the city lights and tall buildings...Wayne State's your school GO WARRIORS !! :) ...Continue reading

Got a job :) I'm happy I've been to all three schools and WSU is the worst by far. The graduation rate at WSU is also under 30%. Also, the teachers at WSU are rats, so don't trust them at all. Detroit itself has alot to do and the same can be said for the school. The dorms are ok but their not super large scale or as elaborate as I'd have hoped. The food is decent you won't starve but with most campuses it's overpriced. ...Continue reading

I wish more people understood how great of a university Wane State is Midtown is full of various restaurants and places to sight see & visit. Our campus has over 300 clubs, and has events almost everyday throughout the school year. Great school. Proud student. Don't be afraid of going into Detroit for classes, it's really not bad. Excellent teachers. ...Continue reading

Dr. Grace is the best for this class and ME4410 Vibrations. He is very organized and loves participation. Homework is for you to study, not handed in. He grades computer problems tough but on exams if you understand the concept he grades very fair. Do the homework for practice and you will do great. Since it's optional most people don't. ...Continue reading

Dr. Arava is very knowledgeable and makes the class fun if you engage him. Pick good members for lab team- the reports have to be concise and thorough. Doing homework and similar problems really helps on exams. Exams are open book and he let us make formula cheat-sheets. He allowed the class to discuss and alter some due dates. ...Continue reading

Professor Buckman is easily the best math teacher I've encountered in my college career. He'll be willing to help you if you don't understand something, and his tests and quizzes are based on things you have talked about in class and done in homework. Take him if you want to save yourself the headaches that come with the other math teachers. Gives very clear notes, cares, grades nicely and sometimes funny. His tests are examples from HW and the worksheets you do in class. If you wanna ace his tests make sure you know everyone of those problems. Review problems he gives before each test not necessary but I'm sure helpful. ...Continue reading

Fun class if you care about ethical issues. Tim is willing to discuss any philosophical issue (don't be afraid to to go off on a philosophical tangent!). THIS CLASS IS HORRIBLE! She always talks condescendingly like we are 8 years old. Her style of teaching is just garbage. Half the class she asks clicker questions. This instructor is very engaging. Her true life stories reinforce information. She isn't the type to just pound you with notes that you need to memorize. Not a good prof. Multiple choice on exams are awful and there is no way to study. She gave us well over 4 hours of homework every other night. The material is not tough but Barber makes it tough. Final exam was witchcraft and I got an A- because of it. ...Continue reading
