Campus is pretty safe over all. The clubs don't do much and few of them are worth joining. Very few food choices, but the gym is very good and so is the library. There are also some very good teachers. CSUN could be a great school if it was more lively and there was more to do. Parking is terrible. A lot of the professors I have had were great, but Admin and Financial Aid are hard to deal with. ...Continue reading

some prof are asheo or real !! Professors will let you slide through classes and applaud mediocrity. You get a degree (assuming you can get into required classes) but you don't learn what you need in order to get a job in your desired field. I'm transferring a UC next year ...Continue reading

Good luck finding classes in CSUN! horrible parkings/ not enough. Not a good school if you're socially awkward. Has good clubs and programs but you can't really take advantage if you're a commuting. Everything is in walking distance but nobody wants to walk in the 100 degree sun. Really nothing to do if you don't have friends or a car. ...Continue reading

CSUN is the literal worst college I've been to. Did fine carrying 17units at community college. CSUN has too many professors who don't use Moodle, don't respond to email, poor communicators, disorganized, not helpful, no passion for teaching. Go somewhere else. ...Continue reading

I really love this school, people give it such a bad rep because of its acceptance rate but I don't believe it diminishes the worth of the school. Great chance to meet so many people w sports, games, clubs, sororities frats, etc. The campus is so clean and appealing. Professors, they are all great (at least ones Ive had so far) and they really make sure to help students become successful in their education. The library is my favorite place to go!! People tend to put down CSUN but its only because they probably aren't even students in CSUN. The atmosphere, surroundings, people, food, and campus are amazing. It is kind of in a location where there isn't a great college community outside of CSUN's boundaries but the activities, clubs, and greek life are amazing ...Continue reading

The School really isn't that bad if you are looking for a commuter school withing the valley. I rated some features a 3 because I'm not into them such as clubs but that doesn't stop me from liking the university. The one and ONLY thing I don't like is the counselors and the enrollment dates. Why tf do people get enrollment dates a month or more before others? Give everyone within like 2 weeks range ...Continue reading

CSUN has such a sense of community, and is full of friendly people! i havent been to an office where the staff was rude. For civil engineering department, classes are full all the time ... can't get the classes outside ... arrogant chair ... most professors are the same since they got hired from him ... getting into this university was the worst decision that I made in my life ... Part of the MS Tax program when they keep changing the class dates. They also have this bright idea to take a 2 1/2 month break in the middle of classes for a 'tax season break.' Definitely not the smartest idea. Sounds good in theory but makes it more difficult for the student. I would not attend this school again if I had the option to start from the beginning. ...Continue reading

Amazing school, very underrated because it's a home school to those in the valley but the programs, professors, and people in it make it equivalent to a UC. CSUN is a safe and a place to call home. The SRC is REALLY nice. The pool area looks like a resort and there are a lot of amenities. Professors have been great and very helpful. My favorite place to hang out on campus is the Oasis center. There, i can relax and get massages in between classes or even simply study for finals. CSUN very ethnically diverse. School and professors in science field are only concerned about money. Teachers: either can't speak clear english, have no other experience except for teaching, most set rediculous standards and few were ridculously easy and gave away As. Two teachers out of my experience with CSUN were worth time and money. Do urself the favor go to another school. TONS of students but they ALL commute. Very few live near or on campus.
