Admin offices here are unprofessional. Has a terrible rep, people can't get jobs after graduate. Profs are substandard. Pressure to be a progressive liberal is unreal, if u don't subscribe to the prescribed world view or state an idea/opinion that is different from the party line, well, chances are you will not graduate. Miserable place Classrooms are technologically current and nice, but academic prestige lacks severely. The administration is woefully inefficient. I suspect no one has ever felt the feeling they were surrounded by great minds at UDC, though it is a common feeling, to varying degrees, in most places of higher learning. ...Continue reading

This place has lot's of potential, being located in DC and all. They did not except me because I was an international student. As a graduate of UDC, I can say that the administration and the faculty are holding this University back. Corruption (of all varieties) continues to be a big problem at UDC. Faculty members are insincere, administrators simply collect a paycheck. The students have little say. . very DC. ...Continue reading

Honestly this school has potential. I've had great teachers but immature, slow, whiny students who demonstrate there dislike for school make it hard. But I've also had horrible teachers who made it clear they were there for the check. If UDC alters their admittance and employment standards, they would be great. ...Continue reading

Considered one of the worst universities in the country, and I can see why. The professors are awful, a lot of them don't seem to know the material. I can deal with a lack of amenities and clubs, but having third-rate professors and a lack of variety in classes or class times makes this a terrible place to get an education. ...Continue reading

A lot of students are here because we didn't have other options, the university is cost-efficient, and it has the program(s) we need. There are many great professors here. I've formed bonds with many of the English professors and I'm not even an English major. They are passionate about teaching. Overall, could I find a better education elsewhere&#63 Sure, if I were a rich girl na,na,na,na,na,na,na,na,na,na,na,na,na,na,na.... ...Continue reading

There is no Student Senate, thus there are barely any event/actives. SGA tries to plan things, but it ends up being half ass or under funded. Financial Aid office is horrible, it is fill with a much of people who don't want to work, lazy and unorganized. The school does provide a chance for those who need that 2nd chance at college. ...Continue reading

This school has potential if the staff actually took the time out to care. good school in this area There's always IT problems. The cafeteria closes too early. The gym showers don't get hot nor have any pressure. The pool is nice and the professors seem to genuinely care but most equipment on campus is outdated and flawed. Why don't you just do something to make it better. All you are doing is talking done about it. Overall it might not be the best school, but it is a credible college and if you really want an education you'll go above and beyond to do it. I Love UDC! ...Continue reading

It's a concrete slab in a great part of DC. They are so backwards here the greatest test isn't graduating but instead the sheer hurdle of getting through financial aid and admissions to be allowed to take classes. Don't come here if you can afford anywhere else. ...Continue reading

All of the teachers I have taken thus far have been really good and caring, but the Financial Aid office is horrible. However, the campus is crappy (crumbly /uneven pavement), broken elevators, not always handicap accessible (broken elevators and auto-doors, few ramps), staircases that lead to nowhere. It's just a weird place. ...Continue reading

School needs to work on alot OF THINGS!!! I was put on hold for an hour during the first week. One registrar will leave for the day when her lunch break starts and the other barely shows up. They didn't let me pay DC resident or metro area tuition even though I have a Virginia license and I've been doing my taxes/living in DC for years. However, the school has significant infrastructure problems at all levels.
