Parking is a hassle. If you're in any other program besides that and business, the school will put no effort in. Campus grounds are in pretty poor condition compared to most other schools. However the bar/Greek scene is huge. No matter what day of the week kids are going out, I'd say more than any other school, for sure. ...Continue reading

Great school with good opportunities! If you're looking to join greek life we have one of the largest greek communities in the US, but if you're into a different scene we have plenty of RSO's and clubs. I feel very safe walking around at all hours. No school I'd rather go to. ...Continue reading

Karle made the subject of stats way less intimidating and was able to explain things really well. She's a really good lecturer who makes concepts easy to understand. Prof. Haberman definitely a nice guy, but his class is so frustrating. Only one lecture a week, which is an hour and a half but could be summed up in about 5 minutes. I have always struggled with math until I had Hal. Calc 2 is awful for almost everyone, but this is the first math course I have actually enjoyed. 11 online quizzes you can take until you get 100 and she drops one. She teaches Soc 100 as a blended class so theres some online work that the TAs grade and they graded kinda random so it was annoying but the TAs probably change each semester. Karle is a great women. It's easy to tune out in class because Karle repeats concepts and goes slowly through content, but if you pay attention it makes it easy to memorize concepts for testing. Just review your notebook once and do one or two pass exam before each test and you will get a really high score because the test are basically identical to the pass exam. Super easy, and give a lot of extra credit. ...Continue reading

SHOW UP TO HER LECTURES she posts the slides but there is little to no information on the sides. The best thing to do is follow her outline and transcribe the info on your own and then make power points out of her notes. That's what I did and I learned the material well. Easy to understand too. ...Continue reading

Knows his stuff. His class was very well structured. Each lecture was seemingly well-prepared with helpful examples, and slides were available for review. He's an approachable guy, but lectures were usually all business. His worst flaw is not realizing the low-level understanding of students in an intro course at times. He listens to students, wants feedback on how the class is going. He gives good feedback. Lecture provided lots of info so attend, but slides are uploaded later. Labs and homework were kinda difficult towards the second half of the semester, make a friend in lab who's smarter than you and you should be fine. ...Continue reading

Professor Nikolaev likes to teach in depth of the materials. Didn't know what he was saying half the time, but I learned math notation really well from him. Exams were weirdly hard and I always felt like I was on a different page than he was. All in all though, it wasn't bad because he'd solve the honors homework for you if you got stuck. ...Continue reading

Probably one of the more difficult classes I've taken. All the lecture slides are posted online, but he spends the majority of class live coding and there is no where to refer back to what he does it class. He does take a long time to grade papers, but if you're passionate about the subject it's definitely worth taking his class. He is horrible at grading things in a timely manner. Each test has an essay portion worth 50% of the grade, and he's very particular about what you must write to get a great grade. Also, for my final project the TA kind of just skimmed my 10 page paper and gave me my grade (I watched her grade it). ...Continue reading

This guy is the an amazing teacher. Interesting discussion sections. Professor wasn't very helpful outside the class. But those who like seeing applications of what they are learning will like it. He shows some interesting real-world calculations. He's clear, but not very helpful. He'll answer your doubts after class, but won't reply to emails. Material shouldn't be hard if you study. Attend lectures. ...Continue reading

Do the extra practice problems in the book A's on the midterms Makes the lectures somewhat funny with lots of nerdy jokes. Explains things very well but it is a fairly difficult yet very reasonable class. There ended up being a pretty big curve at the end. It's good to go to the lectures even though there aren't any quizzes or anything. Overall a good class and good professor. !Take his class!!! ...Continue reading

Karle made the subject of stats way less intimidating and was able to explain things really well. She's a really good lecturer who makes concepts easy to understand. She's very enthusiastic and helpful with the everyday office hours with her TAs. There're a LOT of extra credit opportunities to boost up your grade online with pre-lectures and the completed notebook. If you need to take STATS 100, definitely pick her class! ...Continue reading
