A light spring with force constant 3.85 N/m is compressedby 8.00 cm as it is held between a 0.250-kg blockon the left and a 0.500-kg block on the right, both restingon a horizontal surface. The spring exerts a forceon each block, tending to push the blocks apart. Theblocks are simultaneously released from rest. Find theacceleration with which each block starts to move, giventhat the coefficient of kinetic friction between eachblock and the surface is (a) 0, (b) 0.100, and (c) 0.462.
