(choose chapter or problem)

Review. In an electron microscope, there is an electrongun that contains two charged metallic plates 2.80 cmapart. An electric force accelerates each electron inthe beam from rest to 9.60% of the speed of light overthis distance. (a) Determine the kinetic energy of theelectron as it leaves the electron gun. Electrons carrythis energy to a phosphorescent viewing screen wherethe microscopes image is formed, making it glow. Foran electron passing between the plates in the electrongun, determine (b) the magnitude of the constantelectric force acting on the electron, (c) the accelerationof the electron, and (d) the time interval the electronspends between the plates.
