Compact Discs The values (in billions of dollars) of shipments of compact discs in the United States from 2004 through 2010 are given by the following ordered pairs. (Spreadsheet at LarsonPrecalculus.com) (Source: Recording Industry Association of America) (a) Use a graphing utility to create a scatter plot of the data. Let represent the year, with corresponding to 2004. (b) Use the regression feature of the graphing utility to find the equation of the least squares regression line that fits the data. Then graph the model and the scatter plot you found in part (a) in the same viewing window. How closely does the model represent the data?
