Underwater Research Lab Problem: A ship is sailing on a path that will take it directly over an occupied research lab on the ocean floor. Initially, the lab is 1000 yards from the ship on a line that makes an angle of 6 with the surface (Figure 6-7c). When the ships slant distance has decreased to 400 yards, it can contact people in the lab by underwater telephone. Find the two distances from the ships starting point at which it is at a slant distance of 400 yards from the lab. Figure 6-7c
