Exponential Function Problem: In the exponential function f(x) = 0.2 2x, f(x) could be the number of thousands of bacteria in a culture as a function of time, x, in hours. Find f(x) for each hour from 0 through 5. Plot the points, and graph the function as in Figure 7-1b. How do you interpret the concavity of the graph in terms of the rate at which the bacteria are growing?
