What are some ways that governments can help people who lose from trade?
Motivation starts with job satisfaction and morale. Job satisfaction is a feeling of enjoyment about the work a person does, and this emotion affects work motivation and other work behaviors. The more satisfied employees are, the longer they stay with the organization (retention) and the more committed they are to the organization (to do what is needed). If job satisfaction is low (job dissatisfaction), job performance goes down, employees quit (turnover), and they stop coming to work (absenteeism). Notice that low satisfaction/dissatisfaction can affect job performance. However, increasing job satisfaction does NOT increase job performance.
