Chapter 17, Problem 8

(choose chapter or problem)

The letters a, b, and c represent three different numbers. The sum of a and b is c.

a + b = c

Rearrange the letters to form another addition equation and two subtraction equations. Hint: To be sure you arranged the letters in the correct order, choose numbers for a, b, and c that make a + b = c true. Then try those numbers in place of the letters in your three equations.
