A torque of magnitude T 5 35 kip in. is applied at end A of the composite shaft shown

Chapter 10, Problem 10.41

(choose chapter or problem)

A torque of magnitude \(T=35 \mathrm{\ kip} \cdot \text { in }\). is applied at end A of the composite shaft shown. Knowing that the modulus of rigidity is \(11.2 \times 10^{6}\) psi for the steel and \(3.9 \times 10^{6}\) psi for the aluminum, determine (a) the maximum shearing stress in the steel core, (b) the maximum shearing stress in the aluminum jacket, (c) the angle of twist at A.
