A study of early childhood education asked kindergarten students to tell fairy tales that had been read to them earlier in the week. The10 children in the study included 5 high-progress readers and 5 low-progressreaders. Each child told two stories. Story 1 had been read to them; Story 2 hadbeen read and also illustrated with pictures. An expert listened to a recording ofthe children and assigned a score for certain uses of language. Here are the data:2 Look only at the data for Story 2. Is there good evidence that high-progressreaders score higher than low-progress readers?
