Slaves were seen as spoils of war, necessities in building an economy, supporting the colonial systems throughout the world. An estimated 27 million people are currently enslaved. There are more slaves now than all of the people stolen from Africa before the Civil War. The slave population is now greater than the population of Canada and six times that of Israel. In 1998, the International Labor Organization found an emergence of child slaver in the cocoa fields of the Ivory Coast, where 43 percent of the w
