In Figure S16.7 is a subset of the requested graphs, Initially \((t<-1)\), the two separate triangles move inward from the left and right. At \(t=-1\) they start to overlap and reinforce one another, producing a truncated triangle. At \(t=0\) they overlap completely, producing a triangle of twice their separate heights, and then they start to move apart again.
