(b) Hydrolysis of acetic anhydride in basic water. (c) Esterifi cation of acetic acid in acidic ethanol. (d) The reaction of dimethylamine in water with acetic anhydride to create N,N- dimethylacetamide. (e) Partial hydrolysis of acetonitrile in acidic water to create acetamide.
