(choose chapter or problem)

(a) Show that Eq. (15.25) can also be written as \(P_{\mathrm{av}}=\frac{1}{2} F k \omega A^{2}\), where k is the wave number of the wave. (b) If the tension F in the string is quadrupled while the amplitude A is kept the same, how must k and \(\omega\) each change to keep the average power constant? [Hint: Recall Eq. (15.6).]
