The Wheatstone bridge in the circuit shown in Fig. P4.73 is balanced when R equals 3000 . If the galvanometer has a resistance of 50 how much current will the galvanometer detect, when the bridge is unbalanced by setting R to 3000 ? (Hint: Find the Thvenin equivalent with respect to the galvanometer terminals when R =3000 . Note that once we have found this Thvenin equivalent, it is easy to find the amount of unbalanced current in the galvanometer branch for different galvanometer movements.)
