The polarity markings on two coils are to be determined experimentally. The experimental setup is shown in Fig. P6.42. Assume that the terminal connected to the positive terminal of the battery has been given a polarity mark as shown. When the switch is opened, the dc voltmeter kicks downscale. Where should the polarity mark be placed on the coil connected to the voltmeter?
