Vodka does not freeze in the freezer because it contains a high percentage of ethanol. The freezing point of pure ethanol is −114 °C. Convert that temperature to degrees Fahrenheit and Kelvin.

Here we have to calculate the temperature of ethanol in Fahrenheit and Kelvin.

The temperature can be calculated by sing kelvin scale, celsius scale and Fahrenheit scale.

Since, celsius scale is related with kelvin scale by the following relation.

K = Co + 273.15

= 159.15 K

Therefore, the freezing point of ethanol in kelvin scale is 159.15 K.

Similarly,

Fahrenheit scale is related with celsius scale by the following relation.

Co =(Fo - 32)/1.8

Or

Fo = 9/5 (Co) + 32

or

Fo = 1.8 (Co) + 32

= -205.2 +32

= -173.2 Fo

Therefore, the freezing point of ethanol in Fahrenheit scale is -173.2 Fo
