This given equation is unbalanced, in order to balance this equation, multiply 2 with H2O and 2 with RbOH , The above equation can be written as,

Rb(s) + 2H2O(l) → 2RbOH(aq) + H2(g)

Total number of Rb in reactant is 2, in order to balance the total number of Rb in both the sides multiply 2 with Rb. The equation becomes,

2Rb(s) + 2H2O(l) → 2RbOH(aq) + H2(g)

Step 2:

(b)2 N2H4(g) + N2O4(g) → 3N2(g) + 4H2O(g)
