Chapter , Problem 32PE

(choose chapter or problem)

Find \(\partial w / \partial u\) and \(\partial w / \partial v\) when \(\mathrm {u}=v=0\) if \(w=\ln \sqrt{1\ +\ x^{2}}-\tan ^{-1} x\) and \(x=2 e^{u} \cos v\).

partial w/partial u

partial w/partial v

u = v = 0

w = ln sqrt 1 + x^2 - tan^-1 x

x = 2e^u cos v
