Nitrogen reacts with powdered aluminum according to the reaction:

2 Al(s) + N2(g) → 2AlN(s)

Pressure = 892 torr

Temperature = 95 °C = 95+ 273 = 368 K.

Mass of Al = 18.5 g

Volume of N2 = ?

From the given balanced equation, we can say that :

        1 mole of N2 reacts with 2 moles of Al to form 2 moles of 2 AIN (Aluminium nitrate)

                

Now, we have to find number of moles of N2 required to react with 18.5 g of Al is :

Molar mass of Al = 26.98 g/mol.

                

                = 0.3428 mol of N2
