Strong acids are those that completely dissociates and release all of their hydrogen ions , i.e they completely ionizes in a solution or when dissolved in water

weak acids are those that partially release their hydrogen ions. i.e they partially ionizes in solution or when dissolved in water.

The strength of acidity is measured using pH, which measures the concentration of H+ ions in the solution. If the concentration of H+ ion are high, then the pH is low. Lower the pH, stronger is the acid.
