 Here, we have to calculate the concentration of [OH-] ion from each solution.

Step 1

(a) 0.25 M NaOH

Here, NaOH is a very strong base. It undergoes complete dissociation.

NaOH(s)  Na+ (aq) + OH-(aq)

Thus, the concentration of the OH- ion is same as the concentration of base.

Therefore, the [Base] = [OH-] = 0.25 M

The concentration of hydroxide ion [OH-] in 0.25 M NaOH is  0.25 M
