Problem 37PE
Cylindrical and Spherical Coordinates
Spherical versus cylindrical coordinates Triple integrals involving spherical shapes do not always require spherical coordinates for convenient evaluation. Some calculations may be accomplished more easily with cylindrical coordinates. As a case in point, find the volume of the region bounded above by the sphere and below by the plane z = 2 by using(a) cylindrical coordinates and (b) spherical coordinates.
