In presence of excess alkane, monochlorination occurs. The relative amount of product in chlorination reaction can be determined by multiplying the number of hydrogens of a particular type by relative rate of formation of the radical formed when that type of hydrogen is abstracted.

Therefore, on monochlorination five types of alkyl chloride can be formed. Relative amount of each of them is as follows.

Therefore, the major product is 1-chloro-2,4-dimethylcyclohexane.
