Period of the pulse    T=70ms   (every 70ms a pulse is sent to the prey)

Duration of a pulse is  Δt=3ms      

The pulse sent to the moth reflects from the moth. The pulse must come back to the bat just before the second pulse is sent in 70ms. The pulse itself has some time duration of 3ms. So the pulse travels in air 70ms-3ms.
