The number of heads and number of tails that appear in a given throw is defined as the microstate of the system. In our case we have 6 coins. So the number of microstates = 2^6 = 64.
Let us take the example of 1 head and 5 tails. There will be 6 possible microstates one for anyone of the six coins being a head.
