Describe how you could measure the thickness of a sheet of paper with an ordinary ruler.

Solution 8DQ We can measure the thickness of a sheet of paper with a very good precision by a ruler. Procedure: Take a rim of paper where you already know the number of sheets by seeing the tag. Then measure the total thickness of the rim by the use of a ruler. Whatever you measure, divide your result by the number of sheets. There will be an error because any measurement without the knowledge of the uncertainty is meaningless. The minimum error you will get let’s say 0.001 cm. The division result ±0.001 cm will be the thickness of one sheet of paper.
