ANSWER:

A Ferris wheel rotates in a vertical circle of radius . When the passengers are at the top of the vertical circle at point A,  the normal force  of the seat will act on the passengers in the upward direction and the weight  of the passengers will be in the downward direction.

Assume the downward direction as positive.
