Step 1:

In this problem we have to find the number of blocks are required to transmit over a particular Ethernet network in blocks of 1500 octets.

a:  we have to find number of blocks are transmitted over a particular Ethernet network at 150 kilobytes of data.

Now blocks  transmitting 150 kilobytes of data

                             = 150 1000

                             =150000 bytes                          (since 1 kilobytes = 1000 bytes)

                             = 150000= 1200000 bits

We given data are transmitted  a particular Ethernet network in blocks of 1500 octets, which means that it is

                             = 1500 bytes

                             =1500 8 = 12000 bits

So, the number of blocks that can be transmitted

                             = []

                             = 100.
