Solution 3BSC

In order to use the Kruskal-Wallis test two requirements must be satisfied:

(i) Data samples should be simple random independent samples

(ii) Each sample should contain atleast five entries.

From the given exercise 1 the three samples are taken randomly and also the full IQ scores of the three samples via, Low Lead level , Medium Lead level and High Lead level are independent of each other .

So the first condition of the Kruskal-Wallis test is satisfied .

As size of sample 1 (Low Lead Level) is 5 ,

Size of sample 2 (Medium Lead Level) is 6 and

Size of sample 3 (High Lead Level) is 5

Hence the second condition of the Kruskal-Wallis test is also satisfied .

Thus both conditions of the Kruskal-Wallis test are satisfied.

From the Exercise1 the full IQ scores of the subjects having low lead level , having medium lead level and having high lead level exposure are
