P(z>0.85)= 1-0.1977

P(z>0.85)= 0.8023

Therefore the area under standard normal curve to the right of z=-0.85 is 0.8023.

b).

Given the area under standard normal curve between z=0.40 and z=1.30.

P(0.40<z<1.30)= P(z<1.30)-P(z<0.40)

Using area under the normal curve table value.

P(0.40<z<1.30)= 0.9032-0.6554

P(0.40<z<1.30)= 0.2478

Therefore the area under standard normal curve between z=0.40 and z=1.30 is 0.2478.
