Majors for men and women in business, II Exercise 10.27 gives the responses to questionnaires sent to all 722 members of a business school graduating class. (a) Two of the observed cell counts are small. Do these data satisfy our guidelines for safe use of the chi-square test? (b) Is there a statistically signifi cant relationship between the gender and major of business students? Carry out a test and state your conclusion. (c) What percent of the students did not respond to the questionnaire? How does this nonresponse weaken the conclusions that can be drawn from these data?
