Chapter 1, Problem 1.27

(choose chapter or problem)

Three kg of gas in a piston–cylinder assembly undergo a process during which the relationship between pressure and specific volume is \(p v^{0.5}=\text { constant }\). The process begins with \(p_{1}=250 \mathrm{kPa} \text { and } V_{1}=1.5 \mathrm{m}^{3}\) and ends with\(p_{2}=100 \mathrm{kPa}\). Determine the final specific volume, in \(\mathrm{m}^{3} / \mathrm{kg}\). Plot the process on a graph of pressure versus specific volume.
