Solution 25DQ Step 1 When the shock wave reaches the point B, the observer at point B will hear a huge sound of sonic boom. Since the point A is directly below the position of jet at that moment, the sound from the jet will not have time to reach that point. Hence observer at point A will not hear any sound coming from the jet. Sine C is behind the point point B, shock wave has already passed the point C. Hence the observer at the point C will hear normal sound coming from the jet.
