Chapter 5, Problem 5.47

(choose chapter or problem)

A refrigeration cycle rejects \(Q_{\mathrm{H}}=500\) Btu per cycle to a hot reservoir at \(T_{\mathrm{H}}=540^{\circ} \mathrm{R}\), while receiving \(Q_{\mathrm{C}}=375\) Btu per cycle from a cold reservoir at temperature \(T_{\mathrm{C}}\). For 10 cycles of operation, determine (a) the network input, in Btu, and (b) the minimum theoretical temperature \(T_{\mathrm{C}}\), in \({ }^{\circ} \mathrm{R}\).
