An insulated vessel is divided into two equal-sized compartments connected by a valve. Initially, one compartment contains steam at 50 lbf/in.\(^{2}\) and 700\(^{\circ}\)F, and the other is evacuated. The valve is opened and the steam is allowed to fill the entire volume. Determine

(a) the final temperature, in \(^{\circ}\)F.

(b) the amount of entropy produced, in Btu/lb ? \(^{\circ}\)R.
