The PengRobinson equation of state has the form p RT y b a

Chapter 11, Problem 11.18

(choose chapter or problem)

The Peng–Robinson equation of state has the form

\(p=\frac{R T}{v-b}-\frac{a}{v^{2}-c^{2}}\)

Using Eqs. 11.3, evaluate the constants a, b, c in terms of the critical pressure \(p_{c}\), critical temperature \(T_{c}\), and critical compressibility factor \(Z_{c}\).
